Yaska from Nebraska turns 30

Another great party, it was nice to see abunch of people I’ve not seen in forever. Sadly my usual insecurites crept in and I really didn’t talk to some friends that i had wanted to, I guess if I get up the nerver I could IM them. We will have to work on that. Anyhow, it was a chill affair and all in all quite good, wish I was good at small talk or felt comfortable ingaging in it, but whatever it still was a nice change of senery for a couple of hours instead of being trapped infront of my laptop trying to bang out something intelegable about Canada’s contrubution to the Western cause in the early Cold War. I really need to maintain better social contact so I spend less time in my mind as Ministry says, “A mind is a terrible thing to taste.”

GO train ride home was uneventful, I find it quite a depressing train ride, seems like a bunch of loss soul hurling through the night. The train stops at these deserted stations where a handful of people get off and rush to waiting cars, which drive off into the dark abyss of night. The sens of isolation at a GO station is palatable.

Sadly unlike my last train ride I did not make a drunken friend, kinda wish I had the girl sitting beside me was in a word cute.

Played more of that Puzzle Quest game on the way home, can’t make up my mind if I like it or not, maybe it was the fact that I was partially drunk but I didn’t win any battles. Still it’s interesting to make a competitive game out of Bejeweled, whoever came up with that idea really deserves some kudos.

Well now I’m just avoiding my task… time to get back to my essay.
